Emily Gillatt-Ball started Island Writers in November 2018, but two new Isle of Wight creative writing groups are also in the pipeline, due to start in 2024.
WRITE CLUB
3rd Thurs of the month, 10am – 12 noon, 134 High St, Ryde
Write Club starts in January 2024. The monthly drop-in sessions are led by Emily Gillatt-Ball, and the group is run by Men Only IOW, a men’s mental health charity.
RYDE MEMOIR WRITERS
3rd Sun of the month, 3pm – 5pm, Ryde
Starting in February 2024, Ryde Memoir Writers includes discussion on aspects of autobiographical writing, exercises to develop skills for memoir-writing and opportunities to share your work and give/receive helpful, supportive feedback. £3.50 a session. A few spaces left.
